Ryan's Vineyard

A Family Legacy

For more than three decades, grower Jim Verhey has dedicated himself to the vines of this Oak Knoll District site. Named for his son, Ryan’s Vineyard reflects not just a location, but a family’s commitment to farming organically and farming excellence. Every row is tended with care, and every harvest is guided by a passion that ensures the fruit expresses both place and heritage. The result is Sauvignon Blanc of remarkable purity and distinction—born of tradition, nurtured by family, and crafted with integrity.

A Famed Site

Ryan’s Vineyard sits in the Oak Knoll District at the southern end of Napa Valley, where cool marine breezes and morning fog from San Pablo Bay extend the growing season and allow flavors to develop slowly and with precision. The well-drained gravel and clay soils stress the vines just enough to produce fruit of exceptional concentration, while the balance of warm afternoons and crisp nights preserves natural acidity. This harmony of climate and soil creates Sauvignon Blanc with remarkable vibrancy—bright aromatics, layered texture, and an unmistakable sense of place that has earned Ryan’s Vineyard its reputation as one of Napa Valley’s most prized sites for the varietal.
